Emre Karaer was appointed to the position of General Manager at Volvo Cars MENA & CIS in 2013. In his role, Emre oversee all sales, customer service and marketing projects, as well as distributor relationships across 27 markets for Volvo Cars in the MENA region and the CIS states; Commonwealth Independent States. He also works towards the expansion in potential new markets such as Iran and Iraq. These 27 markets represent a significant growth area for Volvo Cars.
Emre Karaer leads a fully dedicated team with all business functions such as sales, marketing, aftersales in addition to network and business development. Since his promotion, he has been working towards establishing the Importer Network while uplifting the brand image in the region to provide fantastic customer experience to Volvo customers and improve the segment share of great Volvo products.
His work with Volvo Cars started in Istanbul back in 2008 as Sales Manager. During this role, he was responsible for 11 countries including Cyrus, Malta and the entire North Africa. Then he moved to Dubai in 2011 to hold the position of Sales and Marketing Director at Volvo Cars Middle East for over two years and was responsible for the brand’s sales and marketing activities.
Prior to joining Volvo, Emre worked within Ford of Europe in several departments and locations overseeing Network and Business Development for 31 countries. Emre Karaer holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Istanbul Bilgi University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Middle East Technical University.
